When I decided to become breeder of the Coton de Tulear I determined which factors were most important in producing high quality Cotons.
My first consideration is and always will be providing a warm, loving and nurturing environment. All of my Cotons are raised as family members in my home in Mount Vernon, Washington. This is very important in developing a beautiful temperament. Since Cotons thrive with loving relationships, I consider temperament as the number one criteria in my breeding program.
I offer both show quality and pet quality Coton de Tulear puppies to qualified owners. If a puppy is determined to be of pet quality I require a neutering/spaying provision in my purchase contract, this is the best way I can guarantee, as a breeder, the future quality of the Coton gene pool.
My breeding stock is derived from championship European lines. In addition to temperament I strive to achieve the breed standard with regard to conformation.
I ask my prospective owners to have their puppy evaluated by their own veterinarian within 3 days of delivery.
With regard to stud services (Multi-CH Carrera of Woodland Cottage, and Mult-CH Cloverdale's Polo Edition) we will only consider breedings to bitches which we feel are qualified to perpetuate their superior bloodlines.
